Accessing the browser’s console for error reporting

Sometimes we will ask you for any errors that might be occurring when you have trouble with something on the site. This quick tutorial will help you locate and send us the errors from your browsers console.

To toggle the Developer Tools in your browser open and closed press CTRL+SHIFT+I in Windows (Pressing and hold the CONTROL key while also pressing and holding the SHIFT key while continuing to hold bold press the “I” key). or For Safari on the Mac press OPTION+CMD+C (press Option key and hold it while pressing the Command key and then hold both while pressing the “C” key).

Once the Developer Tools pane is open you will want to be sure you have the CONSOLE tab open and errors selected.

Some browsers are more error prone than others and not every error you see is going to affect your ability to browser or use the functionality on a web page but if there are if there are any errors displayed copy and paste or take a screenshot of what you see and email it to us with a description of the trouble you are having and the link to the actual page on which you are having difficulty.

We are not always able to help with browser-specific problems or issues that are being caused by local settings on your PC but we will do what we can to help and the errors you are getting may be a help to us in troubleshooting issues that we cannot reproduce locally.
